PLUG IN
Wrap your arms around a tree,
press your face to the bark. Inhale.
Shut your eyes — listen.

SWALLOW THE BIRD
On a walk of your neighbourhood, listen for a local bird.
Listen carefully to its vocalisation.
Repeat the call out loud.

HOW ARE YOU TODAY?
On your next walk, greet the trees and birds you encounter.
Stop. Face them. Say ‘Hello, G’day, Good morning’.
Ask ‘How are you today?’.
Repeat on another day, and another, and another.

SEEK STILLNESS
Seek stillness. Inhale. Exhale —
Ground your feet, note the weight of air upon your skin
as edges dissolve. Inhale the breath of others.
Slip your mind between organic and mineral particles,
into the pores of the earthworm. Note the gossamer threads
that bind us. They hum and g-listen.
Tune your pulse to listen. Inhale. Pause.
Exhale — breathe ancient knowledge into our future.

WET SAND
Remove your shoes. Walk to the tideline.
Shut your eyes.
Feel the energy of the waves through your feet.
Hold your place.
Listen for the gap between waves.
Wiggle your toes.
Absorb the energy of something bigger than us.
